Online Shopping Deals – More Products For Less Money!

The process of purchasing products o services from the Internet is commonly referred to as online shopping. All the businesses nowadays whether they have a real shop are having the shopping outlet. Every business ranging from selling bricks and mortar to big branded clothing retailers are relying on these shops to increase their sales. In this twenty first century where people are cramped by busy schedules these online shopping facilities provide a great opportunity to shop for all the products that are every day essentials or luxury goods. Fashion accessories to regular wears, shoes to cooking utensils, home needs to electronics good you name it you can get it through shopping online. This was present prior to the Internet through television and telephone.

It has become a routine and simple task in the eyes of the public. Also it is easier for the retailers as new products and services can be launched with little over-head costs. They can also supply these products and services to different markets available throughout the world with little effort and cost. It also has the added benefit of providing bargaining power to the buyer. The buyer has a wide range of choices and he can easily compare the cost and quality of all the products available and make the best choice according to his requirements and budget. Because of the rivalry among competitors several online shopping deals have been introduced to attract the buyers.

Each company is making concentrated effort to bag the maximum amount of customers. Although it has become popular it is still being done by middle and upper class people. It has not been successful in including the poorer sections of the society. Attentive services, deals and discounts and product returning facility are all provided to ruthlessly exploit the greed of the middle class people. Shopping online has been made very much easier with the development of technology and if you have a computer connected to the internet plus a debit card or credit cards then you are well armed to do shopping.

The deals have helped a great deal to increase the number of people who shop online. According to statistics by 2007 52.8% of the online shoppers were women. These online shopping deals promote sales y often encouraging people to do impulse purchases as they come at a relatively reduced price. Buy one get one schemes always make the buyer with at least one unnecessary item. Therefore it is necessary to consider the pros and cons of an online shopping deal before actually buying a product no matter how inexpensive it appears.

I follow Adut on Instagram, and the one thing that stands out to me is that you really have a feel for her personality in her pictures. She isn’t afraid to show people who she really is. That was rare in my day. Adut is a stunning, beautiful young lady, but she also has a sense of business. I appreciate that as a businesswoman myself. She’s killing it.

I modeled in the ‘70s. My predecessor was Naomi Sims, a striking, deep mahogany-skinned model. We were always told by the best designers in the world that fashion looks better on deep, dark mahogany beauties. As you see when she walks on the runway, only Adut can wear what she wears. She really brings a fashion designer’s dream of that particular garment to life. Yeah, it’s her height, frame, and all those modeling statistics, but I firmly believe that it’s also her flawless skin that really makes the creation come to life.

These models, like Adut, who are coming forward on the stage in fashion for African-Americans, are giving our brown-skinned sisters so much confidence and acceptance — that they too are beautiful.

My mother was a dark-skinned woman from Louisiana. My granddaughter is brown-skinned. I show her pictures of Adut on the runway to remind her that she is beautiful with dark skin, and that people would die for her complexion,. These models, like Adut, who are coming forward on the stage in fashion for African-Americans, are giving our brown-skinned sisters so much confidence and acceptance — that they too are beautiful. I’m following Adut’s career not only because of my own interest in fashion, but also for my granddaughter.

I wish Adut continued success — and I wish that one of the designers she works for would extend an invitation to me so that I can actually see her walk in a show. Wouldn’t that be great?

Beverly Johnson is a model, actor, and businesswoman. She rose to fame when she was the first African-American model to appear on the cover of Vogue in 1974.

In L.A., Christian Cowan Pays Tribute To The Powerpuff Girls

On Friday, out in Los Angeles, designer Christian Cowan closed out the Fashion Month circuit with a pink, blue, and green bang. If that combination sounds like a science experiment gone wrong, you’re not too far off. The New York-based creative collaborated with Cartoon Network on a Powerpuff Girls -inspired capsule collection to fête International Women’s Day. The West Coast event, which may not have been top-of-mind for Cowan loyalists, resulted in an unexpected chance for the ready-to-wear designer to flex his haute couture muscles. And, social media impressions et al, it worked.

But really, the fusing of Cowan’s revved up interpretations of ‘sexy’ with a feminist-forward cartoon beloved by millennials is a genius marketing move. It’s still unclear whether or not millennials are buying couture, demi-couture or even ready-to-wear, but they’re politically and fashionably savvy. Which means they’re definitely tuned in to what’s happening on the runway, and this fashion show’s positioning on IWD only amped that up.

“I reached out to Cartoon Network about the Powerpuff Girls about three years ago, when I was new to America and I hadn’t done any shows,” Cowan (who hails from the UK) told Refinery29 at the Downtown L.A. show space. “I said, ‘I’ve watched the show since I was really young and I love the message behind it.” The discussions continued, and the camps eventually agreed on an IWD-timed show in L.A. To carry that message through, Cowan and the network partnered with She’s The First, a non-profit organization that fights gender inequality with education and supports young girls who will be the first in their families to graduate high school.

The collection itself, which drew such pop singers as Carly Rae Jepsen, Kim Petras, and Betty Who in the front row, was Cowan at his best: full of his trademark, tulle-made BDE (Big Dress Energy), feathers (this time not just in lavender, but pink, green, and blue), rhinestones (at this point, who isn’t wearing that T-shirt dress?) and Paris Hilton to close out the show. Cowan’s commitment to diversity, too, with models of all ages, sizes, and races walking a well-balanced runway, proved that he spent his extra pennies wisely. Like any other capsule collection, which tends to serve as a flexing opportunity for emerging designers, these dresses weren’t made with wearability in mind. But, come time for them to be seen on red carpets and in Cardi B’s music videos, it will all make sense.

“I think it’s very important within creative arts that you keep people guessing; that you keep surprising them,” Cowan explains. “When it came to this collaboration, I really wanted to keep it as genuine to a true creative collaboration as possible. In the past, we’ve seen collaborations where it feels like the face of the cartoon is just put on top of a sweatshirt and they’re done. But the goal was to bring the characters to life with high-fashion. To have such a large company support such a young designer is really special and it’s this kind of support that can keep young houses going.” Cowan’s other collaborations include Moshiqa and Giuseppe Zanotti.

But which Powerpuff Girl is Cowan’s favorite? Well, that part’s not so obvious. “I shouldn’t say this, but I love HIM. I know he’s an evil character, but he’s just so fabulous and he’s been wearing heels and a skirt for a long time — and I love that — and they never mention it. But it’s totally normal. Otherwise, I’d say I am a mixture of Buttercup and Bubbles.” (For the record, in this writer’s opinion, Cowan’s more of a Blossom.) Without further ado, click through the slideshow ahead to see Cowan’s pop cultural girl-power masterpiece. Now, if only there was a live-version of Powerpuff Girls so we could see the clothes in action…

Online shopping has grown strongly popular and is one of the fastest growing businesses across the globe. Shopping today has surpassed the boundaries of visitingalls, shopping outlets and stores. Online shopping has changed the old-fashioned ways of shopping. Everyone, be it the men or the women, younger generation or the older, all are going online and shopping. Today a lot of companies are creating online stores and hence creating their social presence. There are stores to cater both to the needs of sellers and buyers.

No matter, what kind of products you are looking for, you can find almost everything on the internet. Online shopping provides you with the convenience of shopping 24/7 without actually moving around. It provides you with the ease of having all the products under one roof. The product range in online shopping is mind boggling. There are huge bargain offers and the shipping of the product is really fast. You can have the product at your doorstep without actually moving out of your home.

Online shopping today has become more of a routine rather than a hobby. Billions of people today shop online.The combination of speed, convenience, diverse range of products, good deals on the product and the option of sending the product back if unsatisfied has made us addicted to online shopping. It has become so rampant also because people are saved from the pain of standing in long queues at the cash counter. But we must also remember to be careful while shopping online. You not only need your credit card but also a little awareness while shopping online. Here are five easy to follow online shopping tips:

Tip 1: Always shop from trusted websites
Always look for trusted, well known and respectable online retailers. With many E-shopping portals coming up, you need to be extra careful while shopping. Websites that are certified by Internet Trust Organizations such as 'BB online', must be preferred since they protect your privacy. Beware of misspellings and resist the temptation of the enticing sales.

Tip 2: Identify a secure web transaction
Never, ever buy anything from a website that does not have SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption installed. One way to know whether the site has SSL is to confirm that the site starts from HTTPS: //, instead of just an HTTP. Also a padlock symbol appears on the URL in the address bar.

Tip 3: keep it a secret
Always keep your personal details a secret. Never shell out details about your credit card or any other bank details unless absolute necessary. Be careful when it comes to entering personal information. Giving away too much information can give the hackers the required edge.

Tip 4: Be careful while using network
If you are thinking of using a public terminal to shop online, think again. If you still want to go ahead with the public terminals, remember to log out every time. Even if you are doing something as simple as checking a mail, be attentive. Also always use the trusted Wi-Fi connection or better a privatized one. Also inoculate your computer with antivirus software.

Tip 5: keep checking statements
Never wait for the month end to go and check your bank statements. Go regularly to check your statements ie your credit, debit statements. Keep checking your online shopping receipt via mail. Keep a check for any sort of changes in the statement. If you find anything inappropriate address the issue immediately.

Applying these small tactics will save you from being a target of a cyber fraud.

Go connected, go shopping …

Baby Phat Is Relaunching Just In Time For Summer

Nostalgia never looked so good. On Friday, International Women’s Day, Kimora Lee Simmons announced that she personally purchased her streetwear label Baby Phat with plans to relaunch come summer. The timing couldn’t be more perfect.

“When I created Baby Phat 20 years ago, it was because women – especially women of color – had no voice at all in the streetwear category,” Simmons tells Refinery29. “It’s in our DNA that this brand is created for women, by women – which was rare then and still is today once you really look closely at who truly owns and controls many womenswear brands on the market.”

It felt like an organic time to share her big secret during her keynote at the United Nations Women Global Innovator for Change. “It’s a personal allegory for ‘look how far we’ve come’ and a reminder to women everywhere to expose young girls to entrepreneurial endeavors and bring them along with you.”

Simmons’ daughters, Ming Lee, 19, and Aoki Lee, 16, were also a catalyst for the brand’s return. “I think it’s a huge opportunity to teach by example: to always keep growing and pushing yourself to evolve,” Simmons says. “Baby Phat is our family business in a lot of ways, and I’m excited for them to participate in a hands-on way to rebuild it alongside me.”

The designer is planning an exciting collaboration due out this summer, and it’s inspired by some of Baby Phat’s most memorable items. “We plan to get back into accessories and add new categories – some of which weren’t around when we started,” Simmons confirms.

“Our strategy is tied to embracing all the exciting things that have happened in the market so that Ming Lee and Aoki Lee can tell their story to a new generation young women, some of whom may not have even been born during our first go around.”

We’re hoping this resurgence includes a spot during New York Fashion Week come September. Simmons says that her shows’ front rows — the celebs and musicians who supported the brand — were among of her favorite memories for the business. “The really innovative women who pushed the world forward to embrace the urban lifestyle when many in the business and in society at large, did not have that vision or foresight. This was a movement. People forget that.”

Reasons Consumers Like To Shop Online

In light of the various points of interest and advantages, an ever increasing number of people say they turn toward web-based shopping over conventional shopping nowdays. It's important to understand the mind of the online customer. Take into account this, and you'll make them rush to your online store. Understand what the shopper wants and work on it – connect to your thoughts all the ways that you can meet these desires, through your focused knowledge, aggressive pricing, customer service, and more. Understanding the urges drive the rise of online shopping is essential. Here are a few buyers' purposes behind purchasing online, in their own words:

Convenience: No one will let you shop at midnight wearing your Pajamas except online shop, is not it? You do not need to hold up in a line or hold up till the shop assistant assists you with your buys. You can do your shopping in minutes regardless of the possibility that you are occupied, as well as away from sparing time and staying away from crowds. Online shops give us the chance to shop 24 x 7 and furthermore reward us with 'no pollution' shopping.

Competitive price: Today, there are various individuals who visit physical stores to check an item, its size, quality and different aspects. Yet, very few of them really make the purchase from these stores. They tend to search for a similar item online instead. The reason being, the desire of an aggressive pricing. These customers are generally known as deal seekers.

If you can offer focused pricing for your items when contrasted with that at the physical stores. You could likewise put a couple of items on each range, to draw the attention of deal seekers.

For instance, various online shopping website offers a 'deal of the day' – in which the estimating of items is impressively low compared with what they would cost in stores. This makes the clients think they are getting a great deal, and the feeling of direness around the deal expands the number of conversions.

Variety: A shopper can get multiple brands and products from various dealers in one room. You can get the most modern global trends without burning through cash on travel; you can shop from retailers in different parts of the nation or even the world without being restrained by geographic position. These stores offer a far more noteworthy choice of colors and sizes than you will discover locally. On the off chance that you find that the item you require is out of stock on the web, you can take your business to another online store where the item is accessible.

Crowd: If you are like me, you might want to maintain a strategic distance from the crowds when you do the shopping. Crowds force us to do a rushed shopping more often times. Crowds likewise make an issue with regards to finding a parking place nearby where you need to shop and going back to your vehicle later stacked with shopping bags.

More comments about shopping online:

• Web-based shopping makes it simple for me to think about vendors before purchasing. I can get more detail before settling on a choice to purchase or not.

• With web-based shopping, we all benefit enthusiastically from this perpetual rivalry between online retailers. Another brilliant approach to spare cash by purchasing on the web is bargains offered by retailers, incredible rebates and savings just for the individuals who buy certain items on the web.

• It is so much easier to sit at home, locate my size, shading, and style and then it's delivered to my front door.

• Web-based shopping is helpful and others free. In India, an ever increasing number of peoples are shopping on the web every day. What's more, they are receiving the rewards also. A few sites are likewise offering web-based shopping for basic need items – which I believe is a jump forward from the ordinary online selling.

• Better costs are one of the fundamental reasons that online shopping has taken off. The simple fact that the middlemen are cut out of the delivery chain leads to a reduction in the cost and then the final price of the product.

There you have it, in their own words. These remarks make strong pleasant arguments for the advantages of web-based shopping. Understand the customer's mind and you'll have the way to how to make them happy while racking up sales because … they like you, they REALLY like you.

Shopping Online – How Safe Is Online Shopping?

When you first make a purchase online there will be certain security questions you will need answers too. Is shopping online secure, is one question which gets asked over and over again by those considering making a purchase. In this article I hope to touch on a few of these security doubts, such as:

1. How Secure is Shopping Online?
2. Is your Online Retailer Reputable?
3. How can I tell if a web page is secure?
4. Determine the Returns Policy?
5. Product Authenticity when Shopping Online.

1. How Secure is shopping online?

This article will discuss some of these questions in an effort to help readers make informed decisions regarding online shopping. Online shopping is as safe as you make it. What I mean by that statement is that you must do some homework on who you purchase from. That does not mean you have to go through loads of good guy bad guy reports, it means that you have to tread carefully and be aware that there are some dodgy dealers online waiting to gain possession of your bank details, which will arm them with the information they need to rip you off. Be aware of dodgy dealers and unbelievable bargains. Most reputable online retailers will have security measures in place. You will find a couple of ways to check these measures further in this article.

2. Is your Online Retailer Reputable?

When new to online shopping, determining whether an online retailer is reputable should be your first consideration, before deciding whether to make a purchase. One easy method to check out the reputation of a retailer is to consult the Better Business Bureau or BBB for short. Here you can search a comprehensive database of BBB Reviews, using various methods of retailer id. Such as:

* Business or Charity Name
* Type of Business
* Type of Charity
* Website URL
* Phone Number
* Email Address

You can use a location to center your search on a specific region by adding "City and State" or "Postal Code" when searching by type of business. You the shopper can find information regarding previous complaints against the online retailer; this information will help you to determine whether the retailer has a good or bad reputation and whether they deal fairly with customers.

Online retailers who have been in business for a few years and do not have many complaints against them can generally be trusted. This will usually be the larger online companies; you may pay a little more for your chosen item, but you will have the security of knowing your purchase will be delivered, and on time.

3. How can I tell if a web page is secure?

Identity theft can cause tremendous problems for online shoppers; the security of the server used to complete your purchase should be asked. A very simple way in which an online shopper can determine whether or not the website is secure is to examine the web address in the top of screen address bar. Once you login to a website to actually make a purchase A secure website will have a prefix of https: //, note the "s" at the end, an unsecured website will have a prefix of http.

You can test this by visiting a security site called (ssl.com. Prefix with www.). Note the URL in the address bar begins with the "http" meaning this page is not secure. Now click the link in the upper-right hand corner to "Log in". You will notice a change in the URL. It now begins with "https", meaning any sensitive information such as your user name and password, typed in, will be encrypted before being sent to the server.

Another standard among web browsers is to display a "lock" icon, somewhere in the window of the browser. For example, Microsoft Internet Explorer displays the lock icon in the lower-right of the browser window: If the website is not secure the online shopper should check out customer reviews on the chosen retailer website or consider making your purchase through the customer service department of the retailer.

4. Determine the Returns Policy?

By reviewing the returns policy of a retailer will also give the shopper a good indication of whether the seller is simpathetic to customer problems. Restrictive Return policies should be considered suspect by the shopper, this may indicate a need for the shopper to do some additional research before deciding whether to purchase from a particular internet retailer. Again check out previous customer reviews; where there are no reviews could be another indication for caution.

5. Product Authenticity when Shopping Online:

Authenticity of products purchased is another consideration for the online shopper. This is important because, it can help to prevent the shopper from purchasing replica items, or items that are very similar but with the same name and title of the item you are seeking. Verifying authenticity is not usually a problem when purchasing from a retailer who is licensed to sell the item. However, problems may arise when the shopper is buying an item through an auction website, an individual retailer, or the item is such an incredible bargain as not to be believed. This ability to spot authentic items usually comes from researching the items well and being aware of the key features, or by ensuring you use an extremely popular retailer.

Traditional Stores Offering Online Shopping:

Many of our every day traditional stores, can also have an online presence. This includes retailers of all types of products such as electronics and home appliances and general merchandises stores offering a wide range of consumer products. Another benefit of online stores is that they are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week; This gives the online shopper the flexibility to do their shopping from the convenience of their own home. This eliminates the necessity of traveling to the stores, parking close to the store, struggling with holiday shopping crowds and of course carrying your purchases around while looking for other items to buy. Another advantage of shopping in online stores over traditional stores is you can visit online retailers which do not have a traditional store located near your home.

When It Comes To Dressing Up, Two Pieces Are Better Than One

With a million formal obligations on the calendar this season — proms, weddings, baby showers — you have a lot to get gussied up for. And don’t forget the less-formal but still-presentable one-offs: your college roommate’s baby shower; the 4/20 potluck with all of your ambitious home-chef friends; your best friend’s 4th of July barbecue. You might not go hog wild here, but it would nice to have something kinda fresh, right? While it’s tempting to immediately type “cute dress” into Google, but hold that thought — we have an idea.

What if, for the price of a single dress, you could get two items — a top and a bottom that would function independently and as a team? If you’re anything like us, you’d jump for joy. We love the idea of wearing a two-piece dress to the next party, and then splitting up the pieces and letting them liven up our existing wardrobes. Maybe you can use the top to dress up jeans, or combine the bottom with a boxy fashion button-down. And when one purchase will result in essentially three outfits, it takes a lot of the guesswork out of dressing for your social obligations this summer. Scroll through to find the two-piece that’s going to be your number one warm-weather companion.
